Signalling Plan: Chelmsford to Colchester, Proposed Resignalling Sheets 4 & 5, 1959 (with amendments to 1961)
Signal Engineer's plans, sometimes referred to as S&T Plans or Locking Sketches, generally contain more signalling detail than shown on signal box diagrams, and are to scale. They are generally printed by the dye-line process and folded.
This plans are two of several apperatining to resignalling that took place around 1959. It shows the layout from Church Street level crossing (west of Kelvedon) through Marks Tey to Stanway. The plans have many pencil comments and annotations relevant to the changes. These particular plans do not show the numbering of points at signal boxes in the way most S&T plans do.
The plans (only a section of one is illustrated) are in good condition having been printed on strong paper but there is some minor edge damage and the filing ends are scruffy.
